Why?

There is a very large deforestation in
Madagascar mainly due to 2 factors:

• Big consumption of wood for heating and
cooking.

• Fertilization with the technic of burning
and, very often, extension of fire to the
forests…

Wood en Stock is an NGO (Non
Governmental Organization) in charge of
managing the plantation of the trees.

• It considers as essential the afforestation
of the island with multiple species, and the
total integration of locals in this program.
